You learn how to use the menu with very little training. The functions seem to be more than I would personally need. The right crank for a hard crank spinner. I personally don't need a touch screen, so the push buttons are fine and they are quite sensitive. I think I got my money's worth.

Great battery life and a suitably sized device for navigating compared to a watch. Zooming and viewing the map is quite difficult with the buttons without the touch screen. If you drive off the route, the device will not be able to navigate back to the route very cleverly. Provides quite often as an alternative to the u-turn back to the point where you left the route even if smarter alternatives were available.

Very good trip computer for mountain biking. Makes where I get the device, ie shows real-time statistics and a map / navigation. Navigation I have taken off, because I think it easier to navigate without the signs following the mere trace. Deployment in itself is challenging because all profiles have to be created on the device and cannot take advantage of the phone which is a bit slow and challenging. Fortunately, this only needs to be done once.
The buttons feel a bit cheap and I don't think the button response is very good, but they still work and there are no presses. The buttons are the same as the buttons on the watches, so I'm familiar with the Garmin watches.
The plus covers statistics related to mountain biking, such as the number and length of jumps.

Turned out to be better than its predecessor. The 500 Series is a suitable trip computer for such a weekend warrior. Pay yeah, but not too much like his big brother. Battery life diamond grade. Easily copes with weekend off-road rides in the fell. Of course, the navigation did not reach the level of Google Maps, for example, but it did its thing in Levi and Saariselkä. I recommend!

A well-functioning device for those who actively cycle. Convenient to put the monitoring on and the heart rate belt etc. connects quickly. the battery life is also really good, the 8 hour loop in sunny weather consumed about 35% of the screen on all the time. The only downside may be connecting the phone via Bluetooth, it can sometimes take minutes or disconnect in the middle of the trip (less often), so emergency alerts won’t go to loved ones if you’ve crashed.

The first garmin device for your use. The operating logic is quite easy to adopt. Enough features for your own use. Navigation is at least a little annoying at first, when your device announces you are off the route even though you are still on the route. Is the route poorly drawn, etc.? The device itself is small, which is a good thing, at least for your own taste. In short, such a first impression of the product, more runs so the device becomes more familiar.

I ordered the product mainly for navigation for day bike tours. However, I returned it because it was not quite suitable for it. I felt it was a little difficult to use and the screen was too small. A better device was found on the market for this use: the Hammerhead Karoo 2.

It seems to be a high quality and reliable device, i.e. based on a few runs it handles its affairs without any problems. For a long time I have been driving with Suunon clock, but did get a map of this property due. Requires a little getting used to the Garmin ecosystem and other add-ons. I haven't got into route planning yet, so I need to learn.
