Credit shoes, lacing improved from previous models

I've had many boots over the years. I live in them when travelling and working overseas. I need to trust them as I carry nothing else. I bought a lightweight Salomon boot. The fit was perfect so bought the Salomon Quest 4D GTX Forces 2. Perfect. The size needed was 1/2 size larger than some brands. One day of use to break in and I was sad to take them off. Solid, supportive and comfortable. Loosening laces to take them off is a learned art as the eyelets are all closed and a few lock the lace in position. I will buy more!!

Based on my previous good experiences, I chose the Salomon product. Trusting that I can use it for a long time without quality deterioration, like its previous products. I've been using it for a few weeks, we're still getting used to each other, I think it takes time for it to adapt to the feet. It fits perfectly, but I can't use it as an all-day wear yet. I still need to get used to the lacing system. The webshop provided accurate information about the delivery of the product and kept the promised deadline. Shipping was fast. I can recommend.

The service life of one pair is <6-7 months, after which the adhesives of the joints start to come off and, as a factor affecting use more, *the soles break*. The quality is really weak compared to what these are profiled for. 3/5 comes from the long-lasting comfort of use during shooting stars and the suitability for use in four seasons. Fortunately, during the warranty period, through varustus.net, the exchange for new ones goes without any problems, if a replacement pair even happens to be ready in the jam. If not, it may take several weeks for the socks to stay dry again, in which case the user must have replacement footwear ready. Before making a purchase decision, consider carefully which future usage profile and in which time frame you are planning these.

A good, sturdy and light hiking shoe with a color suitable for hiking boots. Salomon's sizes are strange, you have to take even a couple of sizes bigger than normal so that your toes don't pinch. My own shoes started to rot after quite a bit of use, the adhesives come off. So they are not the most durable shoes.

Very good shoe, experience mostly in winter use. With two thin woolen socks, frost resistance when moving is at least 20 degrees. Works well with quick release straps. The foot fits great in the shoe, so it is well suited for hiking with ups and downs and for snowshoeing. The traction sole does well even on slippery surfaces.

Very Good shoes. Only problem is they don't last to long. parts of soles coming off. Parts of uppers coming up because of glue coming off. Somehow it seems to me that they are also less waterproof than the previous versions. My older ones the water would have to run in from the top or it would take quite long to get saturated. The newer ones seem the let water in anything that is more than puddle.

I got the shoes to replace Salomon's previous Varrellised hiking shoes (I don't remember the model), which served for almost 8 years in year-round use, until they finally succumbed to a condition beyond repair. There is only experience from the week-long MPK course. The most comfortable shoes so far, the experience is e.g. From Adidas, Haix, Magnum, Meindel, Jalas, Sievi, etc. Here is a little wider space for the toes than in the civilian model Solomons, the fit to your own feet was perfect! Dry, warm, non-slip, actually the shoes are everything they promise. Many people have said that they should buy one size bigger. I'm still at two stages myself, I think shoes should be "well fitting" and they are tight with thicker socks. The shoe feels solid and good. Large toe section, which facilitates long rides without the toes suffering. However, I feel a little pressure around the ankle at the top loops for the shoelaces. I hope it pays off. The shoes have only been on my feet for a few miles so I have to hope it works out. I don't have this problem with the Salomon 3 4D Advanced GTX, they have a different padding at the ankle which is much more comfortable. Even the sole on them is softer and provides a better grip on slippery surfaces. However, I think the Quest 4D GTX Forces 2 EN is more substantial and has a longer lifespan, but more comfortable, no!

The ankle boots that were once on the feet have been found to be light to wear and fit the foot anyway. The only drawback is that the flap of the other shoe protrudes a little from the top of the foot. Otherwise, they look impressive and the best thing is that the sneakers have a lace lock, so you don't have to lose your temper with long laces.

A rare functional combination of a trail sneaker and a light ankle boot. In addition, the rubber tip effectively protects the leather of the shoe. They look a bit heavy compared to e.g. Haix's lightweight ones, but they are not heavy either way.

Really good shoes. Fits the leg, sturdy & sturdy. On the march, JV at work for standing and walking. I haven't been able to test the shoe in the rain, but I think it works in the wet as well as in the dry. On a longer march, no chafing, blisters or a few. Of course, good socks are also a must!

Great shoes! They are comfortable in both winter and summer. They really fit well with a broad toebox and they are suitable for a wide variety of terrain. Can’t recommend any better ones than these, so glad they started issuing them in the Dutch military.

I bought this pair of Salomon for the first time, I used them for my first outing they are incredibly comfortable with good ankle support the size is good but you have to look at the table carefully so as not to make a mistake and take 1 cm more than the length of your feet. I got my first pair of these shoes in 2015 and used them in bad weather until the soles started coming off and gluing with a cobbler didn't help. Compared to the previous pair, these new ones have a clearly narrower last, which is why I had to change to a larger size. Shoelaces are no longer as eager to untie as in old shoes.

During the first couple of weeks, the first pair rubbed a little, but it could be because I didn't know how to tighten the shoes right away. The first pair fell apart from the bottom while walking in the forest in a few months, but the claim was handled well, even though it took a couple of weeks, but now the second pair looks very good and they felt good almost immediately, if only I knew how to tighten the shoes correctly :) In terms of appearance, the shoes are perfect for your own eyes. The best version of the 4D model. I have already had two previous models as work shoes. The EN protection here does not feel as disturbing as in the 3D model. The ankle lock of the lacing is unruffled and the new laces seem to stay in the knot better, and the lace hide familiar from 3D is now also in this model. The last also feels wider compared to the previous ones. Just good improvements. More than ten years of experience with salomon and I can say that the best shoes so far.

I purchased these boots in hope they might relieve some foot pain I was experiencing as I stand for long periods in standard work boots. They are so comfortable straight out of the box, look awesome and within a week of wearing them no longer have sore feet. One very happy customer.

By far the comfiest boots I’ve worn. They’re light weight and have plenty of support. I wear these for at least 10 hours each day. My last pare lasted me two years of extreme abuse wearing them all day every day.

Three shifts went to Solomon's foot, so feel good. The bottom is sturdy and also held well in the terrain on a steep cliff. I love these shoes. Mr. Dom in the woods to Airsoft and is in my third couple. The only thing I do not like about this shoe is that they have a tendency to drop in the gluing at the front of the toe cap. I fix this by adding a row of glue that holds this together. Not nice, but it works and that's the most important thing for me. I love that you can lock the laces over the ankle and that the shoe is otherwise high quality. Mine usually last for about two years before they get badly worn. Recommend these if they fit your foot. The membrane in the shoe is also good, and I usually just take my shoe out of the box and drive… no run-in has been needed in my position… good luck

A good shoe for your own foot. Works well. One bigger than normal size was chosen by myself so that the last would be wide enough. This resulted in a small heel movement in use after the run-in, but the issue was fixed with the insoles. The strips are slippery and will probably have to be replaced somewhere. At first, the shoe seemed to sweat, but either I’m used to it or I can keep it loose enough.

Usually the Shoe size is 43, in Salomon the suitable size is 44 2/3. The recording works well and makes the shoe sit really tight. The last is comfortable, and supports the foot well. The low arm provides support, but also allows the foot to function better than the high. Breathability is a compromise, as always with membrane shoes. Really good shoes, I had been in India for about 10 months and then mostly as a hiking / hiking shoe. The shoes I received had a manufacturing defect, the midsole came off, but the replacement with new ones went smoothly by the importer. Plus also running and still sturdy footwear, really light! Awesome boots, after the first 20 km hiking my feet were dry (really impermeable), comfortable and excellent impact absorption. I've got them as a successor for Salomon Quest 4D 2 GTX that are still good, but the outer sole is slowly giving in, after 1000km.

Very stable and comfortable for the back to walk in, at the same time as they are light and flexible as sneakers. It works with a pair of socks for a whole day without getting sweaty, also very unique. Good grip in the forest on slippery rocks. I like that you can lock the shoelaces in the ankle to avoid foot slipping, which prevents chafing etc. when walking in hilly terrain. The trick is not to tighten the boots so hard. Very sturdy shoes for half-high boots. Relatively rolling step though a fairly thick bottom. Also goes well in cooler conditions with the so-called “As a trainer’s shoe”. The downside is the weight and feel that the water came through much faster than the shoes from the Meindl or Haix brands.

Very comfortable to wear and easy to clean

I usually wear a US 10 for all my sneakers (Nike, New Balance, etc) and purchased UK 9.5 which is of similar size. The boots fit perfect and has just the right amount of buffer at my toes. Width wise it does run slightly small but doesn’t strangle my feet (i dont have wide feet). Overall a great boot to wear and well built for different environments.

Quite insanely good shoes, but the laces are lousy. The fault may be in the wearer, but the straps snuggle up to open too easily on their own, otherwise a great shoe. Can kick rocks and walk in puddles without worries.
