(2018/1) Now a week and a half of use behind. Comfortably light and sleek compared to traditional large sports watches. Even with big hands on herself, this watch doesn’t seem too feminine either. Button feel good and easy to wear gloves on hand - unlike touch screen devices. 24/7 heart rate monitoring / measurement from the wrist worked wonderfully well at night, when running and when skiing. The battery lasts for about a week, after six days of 1 to 1.5 hours of performance with GPS tracking and keeping the watch on your wrist 24/7. GPS can be found when starting a sports performance quickly; in the city in the middle of apartment buildings (no skyscrapers) in a few minutes and on flat terrain usually under 20 sec. The menus are back and many things can be customized. I could only take a position on the accuracy of the VO2Max estimates given by the watch after I had done the right lab measurement. Not good and not something bad; the watch must not be paired / operated with a Huawei P9 Lite. Apparently there is a problem with the Bluetooth LTE implementation, and there is this on the net that is garnered in the Garmining forums. Garmin announces on its website that you have been in contact with Huawi and the repair requires an update to your phone's operating system. Since I do not get to play with a cell phone, I clicked the clock Garmin Connect portal via the PC software. It does this as well, although it requires attaching a fan to the watch. After all, still happy with the purchase! Oh, so be it-foil hats. All data collected goes to Garmin cloud servers located in the Yankees. (2018/12) Update: The watch had time to be used for about 10 months until a fault occurred; first, the heart rate measurement stopped working: for about a week, there were sometimes periods of more than half a day when the heart rate measurement seemed just a line. Next, it took up to five minutes to turn on the GPS. I had not changed my training place (on land) or the tightness of the wristband. Eventually, a series of dead pixels (permanently on, whites) appeared in the lower corner of the screen, and within the next 5 hours that expanded into a large white circle. I suspect that moisture had entered the watch. I sent the watch to Varuste.net as a customer return, from which the device went to the manufacturer for examination. After two weeks, I got a new device. Varuste.net handled the process well and kept me in the cart from where to go. However, the long service life was surprising.
