Excellent tent, have been using this model for 3 years in different conditions and terrains (mountains, forests, tundra). It withstands northern strong winds and multi-day rains. Still no signs of degradation. Light weight and easy to assemble. Small details like convenient zips also make me happy.

A light and handy tent. On the very first night, the waterproofness was tested in heavy rain, and it lasted well. Easy to assemble, but the only minor inconvenience is that the inner tent must be attached before the outer tent (you have to be quick when setting up in the rain...)
Overall rating |
Overall a good tent. Packs into a small space. Easy to assemble.
An adult and a child can sleep well, and there's still a good amount of stuff inside. For an adult camping alone, there is plenty of sleeping space and space for a backpack and equipment. In the apses, shoes and a small amount of clothes are kept dry even during a long rain.
The ventilation works well and the inner tent usually stays dry when the moisture condensed on the inner surface of the outer tent runs down the fabric to the ground.
I especially like the fact that there is a fold sewn above the zipper of the apse doors, along which the water in the rain runs down to the ground and not from the door to the passerby's neck. Similarly, reflective tent cords are good when working in the dark.
I bought a footprint at the same time and it has been necessary to protect the bottom of the tent.
There are very few minuses. You had to string the ropes on the roof of the tent yourself, which you can use to dry socks, for example. The stitching on the seams is a bit frayed in places, they are intact and will probably last, but not really great. The wedges are easy on Finnish rocky forest terrain and bend easily.
Overall rating |
Great tent! Easy to set up, light and with good features. As a minus, you could mention that a tent of this price level could be expected to have a durable enough base to dare to put it anywhere, however, it is generally recommended to buy a separate "footprint". The air circulates well in the tent when you open the vents at the ends, however note that there is no vent in the roof, so water can collect there in the cold - although this is intended as a three-season tent!

I’m having alot of fun with this tent, perfect for solo backpacking, the extra room gives me enough space inside to be comfortable after a day of hiking.
Overall rating |
With the experience of a few nights in summer weather, a very competent tent. Light to carry, assembly is simple, ventilation is good, even though it was a foggy night. For big people, I could assume that it would be quite cramped for two to go, and I mainly bought it to use alone. The only downsides that come to mind are that you have to tune up the inner tent first, and setting up the outer tent doesn't necessarily go very quickly, at least in windy weather, so you should tune up first, something like a rain cover, so you don't have to sleep in a wet tent.

Stood up to >110km/h gusts and snowfall Plenty of room for 2 while long distance hiking Rain gutter for vestibule is a highly underrated feature
Overall rating |
Incredibly fast and easy to setup, love that the inner is freestanding if you just wanted a quite shelter to sleep in on a clear and dry night. The rainfly is quick to put on too and only needs 2 pegs to be placed in for the doors but is a lot easier with 2 people but definitely manageable by yourself. The pegs are pretty good but did have one get pulled out by some horrendous winds blowing on the rainfly door but was able to get it solidly in again. Would say that fast winds and strong gusts do manage to give the tent a good push and a rattle but the guylines definitely added a ton of stability. the small pockets by the head and feet of the inner are a lovely touch too. Overall an incredibly light and spacious tent that looks sleek with the grey rainfly. Worth the money for sure.

Excellent experience purchasing this tent from Varuste for a very good price. The product is as promised- incredibly light, sturdy and easy to pitch tent. We love it. It’s worth noting that it does not come with a footprint/ groundsheet so if you are pitching your tent on rougher terrain, you should purchase one of these seperately.

Just complete first pitch and overnight prior to Offa’s Dyke Path. Everything went well and I’m very pleased with the quality of the product.

Good tent, light and quick to put together once you learn, the only minus is that you can't set up the outer tent before the inner tent, so it's a little annoying feature in the rain.
Kept dry in heavy, surprisingly heavy rain, water didn't get through with the footprint even though water waved in the doorway and everything stayed dry.
You can also comfortably ventilate the tent with the openings in the ends.

Very pleased with the tent on delivery (which was very quick). Unfortunately on my first trip away the seamtape on the outer tent began to separate and I had some leaking. As I was on a 7 week bike tour, this was a bit of a pain. I contacted MSR and they advised that I could seamseal the tent to continue my trip and to contact them when I returned home. On my return, I was advised to return the outer and inner tent (the latter had some issues) directly to them in Ireland and they sent new replacements within 1 week. I have yet to use the new inner and outer tent but I do hope that I don't have any more problems as my next tour is indefinite and then tent will be my home. Overall, a great tent, I hope I was just unlucky and things will be fine. It's light and can be trail packed quite small except for the poles but for me traveling by bicycle,it's no problem.

Have used this tent in the sun and rain and have had no problems at all with it. Easy to put up and take down. I purchased the NX to use as a solo tramper on the Te Araroa in NZ and definitely appreciated the extra space of the 2 person tent. The 2 side vestibules are a real bonus!! At around 1.5kg it is heavier then other ultralites out there but the space gained and extra freedom when tramping months on end was worth it.
Overall rating |
I haven't been able to use it outdoors yet, but everything worked well when assembled inside! Roomy and bulky, although it goes down to a really small size when packed! A big plus! A small minus is that the footprint under the tent is no longer part of the package itself, but has to be purchased separately
Overall rating |
Absolutely brilliant tent, I have been waiting to purchase for a couple of seasons. I would suggest purchasing the footprint as well to protect the ground sheet of the tent.

This tent has been used for camping all year round. Perfect for one. All the stuff can fit inside, and you won't miss a big apse. A light tarp is also always included, under which you can then cook in the rain. Festive camp under two kilos. A few friends have already bought the same tent from the recommendation. The other mistaken for white, which is quite bright in the nightless night.

Exactly like expected. So 's 4 star apreasel

Great tent! A little tight for two people but plenty of headroom. We haven't faced a heavy downpour yet so can't speak to waterproofing but we did a lot of research and are very happy. One note though - the first time we put it up it had a pretty bad smell.
Overall rating |
A really good and light tent. Withstands heavy rain and wind. The water hasn't come through yet, even after spending the night in the pouring rain a couple of times.
I probably wouldn't go into the open hills with this, at least in more difficult/cold conditions, but in most situations very reliable.
The inner tent is erected first and then the outer tent on top of it. Because of this, in the rain, the inner tent gets wet by force. On the other hand, setting up is really fast and the inner tent can be used alone.

Absolutely love everything about this tent; it's easy to put up, it's sturdy enough for 3 season use, it's nice and light weight and I love the colours. It's supposed to be a two-man but like all two-man tents it's really only big enough for one man and some kit but that's fine with me.

Poles broke on second use, really disappointing especially as I am on a long trip in Africa. Will contact Varuste/ MSR for replacement, although for now am just needing to put up with it. Hopefully manufacturing fault, otherwise MSR is a really good brand

After much thought and comparison, I ended up with this. Durable in use and well designed. Plus the weight, the self-standing and the upper seams of the doors, which prevent water from dripping on the tent after it rains when you get out of the tent. Easy to set up, works well for two-person and one-person camping. Maavaate, which can be purchased separately, has also been a good purchase and enables the use of the tent without an inner tent.

I haven't tried it yet but at first inspection the product looks promising. Good build quality, light weight and nice design.

Light, compact and incredibly easy to pack thanks to the convenient bag. From the inside, the tent is bright and more spacious than it looks from the outside. The two apses are a great feature when moving alone or in pairs; You don't have to cross a friend's quad bike, or when moving alone, the second apse is purely suitable for storing goods. Two people can sleep, but then the amount of stuff inside the tent must be limited. There is almost no room for aloneness.
Air moves efficiently due to the large mesh fabric surface of the inner tent and the ventilation flaps that can be opened at the ends of the outer tent. In the summer, the morning roast does not immediately grill the tent if the air moves even a little and opens the draft to the tent by opening both doors. The breathability makes this a great three-season tent, but in cold weather, you will get cold with it due to the same features. This has not been advertised as year-round equipment for Finnish latitudes.
The tent can withstand rain and wind without any problems. However, I haven't been with a tent in storm readings. The biggest disadvantage with the tent is that it is difficult to put it up in the rain without getting the inner tent wet, because adjusting the support pole only with the outer tent is not particularly easy.
In cool weather, the tent collects a lot of condensation because the water vapor released from breathing cannot rise out of the ceiling. However, the situation can be helped by opening the zippers of the outer tent doors from the top edge just a little.
There should be a little more pocket space inside in addition to the current not-too-deep end pockets. Fortunately, there are loops on the ceiling where you can hang ropes.
The base material of the tent is thin, and I wouldn't even consider using the tent without a separate ground fabric, which of course comes at an additional cost. This has certainly been a solution thought out in terms of lightness, but I personally would like a tent of this price category to work as it is. Even when used with the base fabric (MSR Universal Footprint), water seeps through a little if it's a rainy night and the soil doesn't have time to absorb everything. This can be affected somewhat by the placement of the tent.
All in all, after being in use for a good year, the Hubba Hubba NX has been a pretty snappy purchase, despite a few flaws or cons. The tent has mostly been involved in a couple of week-long backpacking trips and kayaking trips of various lengths, ranging from one night to about a week, and has served them almost flawlessly. With cycling trips in mind, the size and lightness made the difference and that's why I ended up with the Hubba Hubba, but I haven't been able to bring a tent for them yet. However, as a reminder, it is difficult to assemble the tent in rain and wind without watering the entire treatment. That's where this doesn't really shine.

Great tent especially in the summer when you want good ventilation and / or want to see around while camping! Namely, the inner tent as such becomes its own tent. You can pull on the outdoor tent when the situation calls for it. The only downside to this tent is that it gets time to get wet inside the rain. It would be good if you had a solution that allows you to set up an outdoor tent before the indoor tent. A weight-saving and wind-resistant erection solution.

The tent is easy to set up and spacious for two people. Backpacks and the like are not allowed to be brought in, but the halls are enough for double people. The quality feels good, but time will tell. The sole seems to hold water, but I may get a separate base fabric / cover for extra security. Big pros in package size and lightness. I would still like some hooks on the ceiling so that, for example, the light could hang or I could even put socks on. to dry overnight.

I was excited to receive my MSR Hubba Hubba NX. It's wonderdully light at 1.67 kilos and, more importantly, very roomy inside - plenty of space to sit up properly, with none of the 'coffin' like feel of some minamilist tents. Ventilationis good - almost too good in colder Scottish weather, the interior is very 'airy' and could not be described as warm, but it is a three season tent and the ventilation is wonderful whenit's hot and sticky outside. No condensation forming inside. There are very neat velcroed 'arms' to hold the vents open fore and aft, only drawback is they have to be setup when outside the tent, no access from inside. The green flysheet is perfect for stealth / wild camping - blending in with the landscape. All in all, an excellent tent that I just love!

We bought this for the kids when a 5 person in the family started one tent to make it tight. It is light and easy to set up so that 5- and 7-year-olds can carry and assemble their tents themselves. After one summer, the quality has seemed good. We are happy with your purchase!

Best balance of great design, 'livability', robustness and light weight available in backpacking tents - but you pay for that. Compared to the similar MSR Elixir 2 it is almost 1kg lighter, has smaller vestibules, lighter pole structure and costs c80% more. Compared to the Big Agnes it has better access, usable area and more robust fabrics for around the same price. Ideal for 3 (or even 4) season use in Scottish Highlands. If you can afford it you will love it.

The hubba hubba is really light weight. The tent inner has a lot of ventilation surface area that does not have cover flaps. It may lead to it being a bit chilly close to winter. But it is a 3 season tent and to keep the weight down that is part of the deal.
Overall rating |
A great acquisition for a couple hiking from spring to autumn. Spacious enough, great height, both with their own passage.
Found to be waterproof in heavy rain. Good ventilation, hardly collects condensed water.
We chose sunny nights in the summer with mountain plains in mind for a light color.
Able to prepare breakfast and dinner by lying in a tent (directly from the doorway).

Have used the hubba hubba 2 man tent 3 times now, once was in extremely windy conditions and the other times was in the middle of an Australian winter in Victoria. It stood up to everything, its roomy enough for me and all my hunting gear stored inside the tent and sets up so easy in a matter of minutes. This was a great purchase for me and my needs. Although a little overpriced you don't mind paying a bit more if the quality is good and in my opinion I think it is a good quality product. I would have no hesitation in recommending this product to anyone. Very happy with this purchase.

My own experience before this is mainly limited to tunnel and solo tents. This was purchased when a light double tent was needed. With the experience of one hike, the structure of the tent with its two abscesses was functional for two people. In the rainy and heavy mountain wind, the erection was more challenging than, for example, the erection of Hilleberg's Akto. Mainly due to the thin loose outer fabric, with which you have to be careful not to go with the wind while trying to align. Undoubtedly, exercise adds certainty here. For those accustomed to straight arc sections, the arc construction is also quite a hassle. Otherwise, it looks like a quality three-season tent that is easy to disassemble and pack.

Easy to assemble and especially easy to pack back into its own bag - throwing went there. Wonderfully light. The sole is thin, but I like a separate tarpaulin to protect the sole. As a wild cat, this is clearly a summer tent. One fits well inside with its belongings. Two sleepers if there are, then the goods will probably have to be left in absentia.

I looked for a light self-standing tent and got one. Of course, the lightness is counterbalanced by the thinness of the fabric, which raises questions about wear resistance. A fairly large part of the indoor tent is a net that brings lightness and improves ventilation, but on the other hand lets heat into the magpies in cold weather. Very easy to set up, the impression of the quality of the work was a positive surprise (compared to Hilleberg). Excellent value for money!

Lovely light tent. Sure, lightweight fabrics, but under the bottom I have used something a little protective fabric to reduce wear and tear. There are just and not almost the right number of wedges. The arch resembles an antenna and assembling it is a bulky endeavor, but a surprisingly handy hassle. Setting up is easy. the tent is spacious, fits well to sit. The zippers are a bit pounding in between. In terms of value for money, I think it's a great choice!

Easy to assemble and stack, surprisingly spacious for its size. Even a stiff adult man fits perfectly into living with this. The outdoor tent must be placed in the correct direction so that the zippers are parallel. The outdoor tent can be easily removed completely or half away, allowing for hot advertising thanks to the indoor tent's landscaped roof. For Abside, get yourself someone from scratch if necessary. A three-season tent can be sultry. It will be seen in the fall.

You will notice from the tent that the details have really been thought of. The design of the tent is almost perfect. It is extremely easy to set up, lightweight and somehow everything but works as a whole. The only downside is that there is no room for two people. The two full-size sleeping pads don’t fit side by side in the tent, so you have to compromise a bit on comfort.

Easy to carry. Works well in good weather and in the forest. Very quick to set up.
It's bad that the wind is blowing in. The lightness of the outdoor tent is not enough to reach the ground. A problem in the archipelago/fell, where you can't get shelter from the wind. Restless sleeping in the wind and cold, of course.
Having stayed alone in a tent in Norway for a little over a week in variable weather, I can't help but recommend it. Stays in place and dry even in strong wind and rain. Quick to set up and take down, the tent is comfortable to assemble as you don't need wedges to stay upright, this way you can easily adjust the position of the tent even if the bottom was not straight. That white/gray is quite bright inside, at least this way in the summer in the northern night, if the light disturbs sleep, I recommend green, if it's a little darker inside.
Since the inner tent is largely net-like and wonderful in the heat, the cool wind also winds inside, ie not very warm in windy winds. That is, it is better then to look for a sheltered place or to get a sufficiently large tarpaulin under the tent, which can be raised for protection against drafts. Otherwise light and lovely. So a tent for up to three seasons.
