So far so good. I have yet to really test this out in the rain. But the quality looks impressive and durable - as I am beginning to expect from this brand - and the design is very simple, but actually rather smart too. For hikes you can use this as a tarp too to sit under or even sleep in an emergency. The tie out points look strong enough to even keep in high wind. One thing that spooked me in the beginning were short stitches on the chest area. Looked just like a sown up tear in the fabric, so initially I thought I received a "refurbished" piece. No, those are stitches for two loops in the chest area that you can put your arms through to keep the poncho from flying up when you ride a bike with it. Like I said, simple but very smart.

Very quickly shipping to Japan. Many Thanks

Unsealed seems on a hood, it's leak especially while using as a tarp. Highly recommend MFH poncho, it's a quality product.

Poncho size XL The sturdiest poncho I have seen for the weigh, yet much lighter than your surplus ones and much larger than the NATO standard sizes (220cm by 160cm). It also has as many attachment points as most army one and it doesn't use just grommets but also tie-outs. Tie-outs are good for taking the load and good for not ripping the fabric like a grommet does, which shows how well thought this poncho is. Go for it if you need something that won't rip in a wooded area.

Good poncho, does the trick. Just watch out for the sizing, XL is a tad too long for me (186cm) alone but with a backpack underneath it's perfectly fine.

I tested the cloak in heavy rain, after which the hat and shirt I wore around my neck and shoulders were wet. The wetting was due to the hood stitches not holding water as they have not been sealed in any way. I would tap the seams with silicone. Now the hood can even be used to carry water.

Best poncho EVER. Biggest, baddest multi-use ‘rain-cover’ out there - and built like a tank, because,,,,well; Savotta! If you’re tall like me and occasionally carry a backpack, this is the XL poncho you want.

The backpack fits well underneath and didn’t seem to sweat badly, as long as the clothes but slightly cut at first. The hood was a little smarter than the guys. In addition, heavy rain or wet grass could have rain pods or quick-drying hiking pants. I myself had Fjällräven’s G-1000 pants that dried really fast and I didn’t miss the rain pants.
