Hoka OneOne sparks pure joy on trails! In the past years the trend has been to minimize and make trail shoes ultra llight with thin soles. Now the thinking has changed towards a more sturdy and bulky structure without losing the element of lightness.
And why would they do this?
For example this specific sole material Hoka uses is exceptionally sturdy, yet light as a cloud. The material embraces your feet and allows you to move comfortably and more safe on an uneven terrain fighting against ankle springs. Also a thicker sole tends to last for many more miles than avery thin one, so you'll probably have these shoes for a longer time span.
