A light and durable shell jacket that has been stripped of all excess. Well suited for the needs of three years. The hood could have more adjustments.

Hard use in rain, wind and snow. Quite a rustling material, which I didn't like at first. Maybe with use I softened a bit or got used to the feature. The underarm ventilation zippers are difficult to close with one hand - they can be opened.

I highly rate this jacket. Super light weight and folds down nice and small. I own two other gorlex 3 layer pro jackets that I purchased for twice the price and this jacket holds its own, especially in emergencies. No bells and whistles here with extra pockets, it just keeps you dry plain and simple.im looking forward to taking it out with all this wet weather about to hit are shores this winter down under then autumn and winter in the northern hemisphere. Super fast dispatch and door to door service via DHL in less than a week. 10/10 for jacket and Varuste. Rab never disappoint and been made ethically is always a bonus.
