It's a bit heavy, but you can catch a lot of stuff on the outside of the backpack as well.

A compact-feeling package on the back

Fantastic built kit. Fully adjustable for torso height gives it a great fit and balance on bike. We'll use it as a pannier on top of back rack when touring but in the meantime will be on our backs for weekend get-a-ways. Bring on those weekend camps!!

I hesitated to buy this backpack for a long time because of that back zipper. However, the backpack turned out to be a very good backpack for fishing and cycling. Holds water and seems durable. It can fit all the things of the day (jacket, dry food, gas cooker, bait boxes, etc.) External attachment points for wounds are a bit bad. I recommend adding an accessory hook.

A properly functioning backpack for cycling. Especially a smaller hip belt is better for cycling than the basic model. Also good for bottle pockets outside. A laptop would need its own pocket.
