It really does keep your things dry. I cant say enough how much I like this bag. It hold more than it looks. I can fit two tire levers, sunscreen stick, small bottle of sunscreen, small bottle of hand sanitizer,spare tube, bike tool kit, two CO2 cartridges, inflator,Nuun electrolytes, spare seat post hardware and my wallet with room to spare. Here is the best part its very strong and slide locks into position securing it to the seat post and seat. Pretty darn cool.
