Durable and multi-purpose anatomical ring. The finish of the work and the materials are of high quality. The usability of the ring can be adjusted with separate pockets and the volume can be adjusted with straps.
This bike is made to last. In use, it can be seen in the stiffness of zippers, clips and straps. This is also reflected in the weight of the chest.
I would also add access to the top flap pocket from the outside as well. Now you can only get there from the inside by first opening the flap.

Overall it’s a fantastic backpack but that is expected when buying a savotta product. The carrying system if well done and very comfortable although the height is a bit of a chore to adjust but that also results in the settings not changing overtime or when under heavy loads. I would like a lid pocket accessible from the outside. Attaching things on the outside is really easy and you can easily increase the volume with additional pouches. If you have the money for it I really recommended ordering. Delivery was quite fast but tracking with gls is horrible.

It's not an ultralight bike, it's a sturdy bike. I recommend getting side pockets if you are going on a longer trip in colder weather. The bottom pocket is perfectly functional for, for example, food items, but sometimes difficult to use if, for example, you like to hang your bike from a tree when camping.
The roll-up closing system is very good, better than in the M model, and the padding is also better. I have not regretted the purchase and it will probably remain in use for a few decades. I think it's the most practical size class on offer and you can add pockets if necessary. If you are buying a brown model and are style-conscious, you will notice that it is more difficult to find accessories that match the color elsewhere than in Savota.

It's not just advertising talk when talking about the durability of Savota backpacks. Mine has been in use for half the summer as a general carrying tool when moving around the archipelago. It can be thrown from the boat to the shore and hung up for a few days. It also works as a good wardrobe and food storage when the camp is not moving and does not want to keep ants in the backpack. Keeps the rain and splashes out, and it doesn't really feel like it's going to stain, after drying it's easy to wipe and keep clean. The carrying properties and adjustments themselves are emphasized with heavier loads, there is probably still the roughness of the novelty, but a heavier backpack is more comfortable to carry. Modularity is a big plus! Side pouches and of course you can get many sizes, so it's easy to use for longer than shorter trips. A very promising end-of-life carrier!

What an excellent and versatile bag. a lot of thought went into this one to keep it as simple and as solid as possible while giving a very high degree of flexibility. no need for a 35-40 ltr and a 55-60 ltr bag. this one easily does both while still being able to bear a load comfortably. awesome

Good and durable. Stayed comfortably on the back even with a large weight (over 20kg)
The modularity is really good: 12 liter side pockets and a daypack in addition to this. There has been no need to worry about the condition since then.
You don't have to worry when hiking, the pack will definitely last.

High-quality, domestic, durable - the rink would survive even in a multigenerational nuclear war from father to son. If this level of durability is necessary, the bike is definitely good for you. On the flip side, the bike is quite heavy by today's standards, and there aren't many features. With additional pockets, of course, you get exactly the right pockets in the place you think is best, but each additional pocket costs more and means more weight. In addition, with narrow shoulders, the shape of the slats caused painful pressure on longer trips. This bag was created for someone who has broad shoulders and doesn't mind the weight.

This has now been on some trips and it's a great tractor. You can use it for straps by strangling a small daypack, and with extra pockets by overpacking a weekpack. A small annoyance is a constant small squeak when walking, but the pain also fades after a hundred kilometers (update: it hasn't faded).

A very high-quality bike. The only downside I could mention is that in addition to the main compartment, the rucksack only has 1 fixed pocket (on the rucksack flap), but this too can be fixed with additional pockets. However, the price starts to come up quite a bit at that point. That's what I'm ready to pay for Finnish quality work.

What can I say? Probably the best backpack for hiking out there. Made to endure. Loads of MOLLE, fastening on the hip belt is done really smart and ensures you really get it tight. Detachable hip belt, adjustable length for the back (although I can imagine it could get a problem with people over 2m). The carrying system can be adjusted in several ways so it will fit you perfectly. Another bonus is the package - not a big box the backpack barely occupies a third of, but a flattened out backpack in a bag of plastic, which is put in another bag of packing paper and sealed nicely. Minimal waste of space and cardboard, minimal additional weight. Wish this was standard.

Stable and comfortable, solid quality. Works well in the field, would rather carry a little extra weight if it means it lasts a few extra years.
A certain investment cost for sure, but not a high price relatively speaking as the price per use drops over the years.
It's good that the hip belt and top cap can be removed so it can be turned into a day backpack, and in the other direction can be added with more pockets for longer adventures.
The only thing I miss is a handle on the lower part of the front so that it can be handled more easily when it is packed and not on the back. (See Bergans viking 90l + for example)
Big + because it is made in Northern Europe.

Normally I have a backpack that can be enlarged in width, but this one is nice and small, ideal for wild camping,
It can hold 40 liters but also 55,
the roll-up system appealed to me and of course the sturdy quality that I do not get stuck behind a twig and break,
and of course the price is €70 cheaper than in the Dutch webshops,
I will definitely order again

Thats why I ordered the big brother Jäger L as well for longer hikes. I believe that for the build quality there is little to say, excellent as for the M version that I already owned, this has a much higher load capacity, not only in terms of volume but also in general support and therefore in greater comfort once on the shoulder, absolutely recommended. The only drawback, which can be overcome, is access to the pocket under the closing cap, which is uncomfortable if the backpack is hanging. A pocket with access from the outside would be convenient, but it can be added with springs.

A durable and good military shirt. Been in active use for a couple of years. The height adjustment of the hip belt is limited, it may not be enough for someone else. Plastic buckles are clearly the bike's weakness. Myself and a friend who bought a bike at the same time broke the plastic buckles after the first year. The warranty process took about a week, so it wasn't a big problem.
Full five stars if the hip belt had metal buckles.

Excellent quality, nothing to complain about. Kujastos allow all kinds of goods to be attached with additional pockets or detachable straps. The ringka's own straps can be used to make small horizontal loops between alleys, e.g. for attaching a raincoat, without having to purchase additional straps. When new, the PU coating "smells", but it evaporates over time. The bag is heavy, but sturdy and comfortable to carry even with a large load.

Used the bag heavily packed at compressed height. (Approx. 40-45 L) despite being new and not so "softened" in the shoulder straps, no chafing or discomfort was experienced. It feels like it lasts a lifetime and gets nicer every time you touch it. Good aluminum frame that stabilizes the bag and the waist belt that is molle adapted so you can have the bag in a more civil / Urban environment without looking excessive. Side pouches are something you should buy for easier access to important things.

Amazing backpack, very tough material. It's my go to bag now. I really like the metal frame insert it really helps the weight distribution and sturdy ness. I'm impressed with the floating/expandable lid, plenty of room and choice. Disadvantage: No exterior zipper on the bag's hood pocket for quicker access.
To tighten on the sides of the bag we must tighten the outside pockets if there is no damage.
Advantage: bag of great resistance, designed for soldiers,
Bag not too large for a better outfit, really great,
Nice bag to wear
Green color really good.

Great backpack! Robust material and very comfortable to wear. The fact that it is flexible in size makes it versatile in terms of use. The only downside is that this model lacks compartments for water bottle on the side (both model M and XL have it but strangely not L). But otherwise a fantastic backpack that is really recommended.

Does what he promises. I have found the zipper at the bottom to be awkward to use and the missing elastic pockets on the sides are a bit of a minus. Good both bears and good adjustments for at least my size (194cm). The mat and the work pattern are such that it is unlikely that the perforation will be worn by carrying this.

I only used my backpack once but I have to say that I am very happy about it, top quality materials are used to make this pack and you notice that immediately when you unbox it. It's also very comfortable on your back when hiking, and you can stuff a lot of gear in this backpack (no organizers inside) 😁 I just love the fact that you can use it as a small 40 liter pack, but also extend it to a 55 liter pack. Yes you pay big money for this pack, but not if you compare it with other high quality backpacks. So it's actually a cheap backpack because it is such high quality. I know that this backpack will last more than a lifetime, and I am in love with it 😍😊

Very good carrier based on the first 35km! The rolltop is a great addition, as is the downstairs own compartment. For Molle, the system can be used to build any kind of tuning. The only small minus I didn’t dare take away from the stars when I guess more to join my delicate pelvis is those pelvic thong pads. They are unnecessarily hard for my own taste, and I already tuned in them extra fillings from the camping mattress.

Tested on the Herajärvi tour. Compact and modular. Not a miracle of space, but with side pockets, everything you needed for a three-day hike trip fit this. I saw this as a simple carrier with a surprisingly comfortable position (180cm). A big plus of a detachable hip belt with a side pocket attached to it worked great as a daypack. I recommend, but especially for longer trips requires side pockets. I am confident that this summer will also be successful on the Bear Tour.

High-quality Savotta backpack. One star off because the batch of this backpack is made in Estonia instead of Finland
Hi, thanks for the feedback.
The bags are indeed manufactured in Karstula, Finland and Tartu, Estonia. The high quality of the products is independent of the country of manufacture. The Savota Estonian factory is one of the most modern sewing shops in the Nordic and Baltic countries. Have a good trip with the new backpack!

Excellent carrier. Has been in use for a year now and has been doing things really well. I myself have established one M vertical pocket with a backpack as well as a pocket for the drink bottle for the belts. It’s not terribly worth getting extra pockets right at the start, but using the backpack for a while and gaining first-hand experience of what to add to the backpack over time.
Overall rating |
Solid rucksack. Very will made and virtually bombproof. The stiching is all very firm and the inner lining promises a fair amount of water resistance. The zips are quite large and easy to grasp which is an added bonus. Definitely on the more expensive side however, with a little TLC then this could be a rucksack for life. The only potential drawback was the lack of small hip pouches- essential for storing snacks or something like a phone however this could also be considered a strength since the bag is designed to be versatile. The mini pouches (sold separately) were a perfect size to fill that void.

Just as practical and adaptable as Savotta promises. Spacious, absolutely durable and simple carrier.
Aluminum frame Plus, not noticeable in use, but is really sturdy and carries weight. All buckles and straps are durable and work without riveting.
The water resistance of the material itself is already inadequate, I have not used a rain cover at all on a couple of trips. Fastening possibilities without additional straps and other trigger blades are sufficient. Molle's Big Plus.
The rolltop lock works and is handy.
For smaller items there could be at least one more pocket / tray, the flap pocket is good but cramped.
Detachable hip belt hard word, here's the Plus.

Really good backpack. The only minus of the missing little pockets on the outside, otherwise great. There are certainly even better backpacks for your back, but when you look at it so hard to beat the whole thing. The hip belt is really good, at least when walking uphill on its own it makes the weight even feel lighter. For a very short-backed person, I do not recommend this, although there is little possibility of adjustment.

It can evolve to fit any load and I've added some ammo dump pouches on the side to hold my bottle and some tools. Praising reviews of that backpack can be found online, and here also a four / five star durable product.
When purchasing the backpack myself, I might be looking for a product that emphasizes more ease of packaging / unpacking, which may not be the number one priority in the Savota Jääkäri model.
Dividing the larger top of the bag with a tightenable mouth is a good addition. As well as a separate lower part of the backpack with a zipper. But the backpack should not be opened fully open if you need something suddenly, during a short break. And this isn’t really even a lack of a backpack, rather a matter of taste. Backpacks that can be fully opened from the side do not withstand the durability of Savota's Jääkäri models.
The backpack carrying system is the best, which I have ever come across. Definitely get what you want. And space for a drinking gap also with a support frame. (Tried on, fits)
For those looking for a durable backpack 👍

Impeccable, quality and practicality at the rendezvous. Tested in the mountains, I did 2600m of cumulative vertical drop, for a transported weight of 13kg. The only downside to criticize it is that it is not intended for slim sizes. Indeed, I am a fairly thin man (180cm) and the belt does not tighten my waist enough: the bag therefore rests more on my shoulders than it should. On the other hand, the aluminum frame is a perfection: it stiffens the bag and the load is attached to the back. I therefore put 5 stars for the quality of the bag and the impeccable service of VARUSTE. I would put 4 stars for the portability of the bag because it is not suitable for all body types (in terms of size). However, it remains perfect if worn with a thick jacket.

Definitely the highest quality backpack I have seen and after a few uses it seems worth the money. The only small downside comes from the lack of beverage bottle pockets, etc., which can be found in the little and big brother. What could be wrong with this? Not really anything at all. This will last until the end of the world, even if you load 40kg of stuff in, somehow the weight just disappears in your back. I bought it as a friend for Jääkäri M for longer trips. I missed the side zipper and side pockets in M, but otherwise Jääkäri L is clearly better. The back length adjustment is pretty limited, so this is by no means worth buying blind (like no backpack in general!). On my back this fits like a knock and carrying is nice even when overpacked. Modularity is a great thing, and the backpack is well suited with different pocket options, from one-night trips to week-long hikes.

Really heavy duty and well made bag. Quality is very very good. The roll top makes it versatile in being a daypack when carrying less stuff and filling it all the way for a multiday hike. In combination with the vertical pouches even more space for longer treks. The bag is comfortable to carry but a very different style in comparison to say a Fjallraven bag.

Full boys, 3 days on the trip weighing about 25 kg and did not feel much in the body. The additional pockets can be easily modified to suit the needs of the application. A fair-sized rosary, from which, if necessary, crocheted in connection with a daypack or even a hike for a day for fishing, while the other "scrap" of the supply belt remains on the skull site.
The 60L may not be quite right for Jääkäri L due to the roll-top, as there are plenty of overpacking possibilities in the backpack. Of course, the embankments increase the volume even more. Based on a trip of a couple of nights, I have been really happy with the purchase. The backpack can easily accommodate the stuff of a multi-day trip.
I also bought those L-size vertical pockets on the side of the backpack ... One vertical pocket easily eats, for example, a tarp and other stuff related to setting up the camp.
I might have liked the back zipper for that flap on the backpack, but the one inside also works ...

As is typical of Savota, Jääkäri L is really made to last. You can also find Jääkäri M and XL, which means that there is some fanaticism in the air. I get the L for basic hikes, where you can lighten the load a bit (so not every cast iron pan in the cupboard is hanging).
In addition to hiking, the backpack was also used for overnight trips, as when long-backed and 190 centimeters, most of the smaller backpacks / backpacks do not sit properly and begin to press on the lower back. Something strange has been invented in Jääkäri L, as the adjustment features are quite simple, but the backpack still fits brilliantly on the back of a friend as well as his own.
For the tubular brain, the method of packing the backpack is just right: the goods are brought in in the order that the goods needed for breaks can be accessed from the flap that opens at the bottom, and the top flap is opened to access the rest of the goods. In addition, MOLLE alleys when running around the backpack, it is quite easy to install additional pockets. The standard equipment itself includes MOLLE pockets with a first aid kit and a drink bottle. I haven't carried the load in excessive quantities, but the 10kg goods move very comfortably, and the load life is still very much left. 18kg + feels more natural to move to a pipe ring (Jääkäri XL).
I get black, because on world conquest journeys, elegant green can be an unnecessarily warlike coloring.

Full stars for stiffness and work. I also really like the model and the overall look.
Big minus the comfort of the carrying files. While the design is good, for a 170cm normal weight man, the tightening of the coolers is quite extreme, and with full tightening, the coolers seem to fold, and the side stitches of the coolers press sadly into the skin. I don’t think there’s any problem with the jacket, but with the t-shirt the feeling isn’t comfortable. The waist must also be adjusted to almost the tightest possible position, so that the straps on both sides hang halfway up the thigh.
The packability is good, the mollusks provide good opportunities for attaching the side bags, and the zipper on the bottom bag feels nice and sturdy.
Based on my own experience, I cannot recommend the backpack to people with a shorter / lightweight body, otherwise the backpack will feel of excellent quality and allow for excellent variety of raps through alleys.

The backpacks in the Savota Jääkäri series (M and L for myself) are the best backpacks I have had - and in more than half a hundred years, the backpacks have been worn by dozens of models in a half-year field biology work. Fits perfectly and tightly on my narrow back but still doesn’t sweat too much (at least more than other backpacks). Good water resistance, plenty of attachment points for camera tripods and other accessories to be attached to the outside, good quick-release locks to close the backpack bag (or (in the L model)) to wrap the bag mouth. I recommend it to everyone who carries a backpack for a long and long time in the terrain.

After all, a good backpack came at once! Not the biggest backpack of all, but not the smallest. Yes, this 5-7 day trip pulls in warmer conditions and stuff can fit in when straps are applied to the outside part. Sustainable and sturdy so-called. a backpack for a naughty boy (why not a girl). No croissants, but can be updated with external modules if needed. A purchase I will not regret later.

Absolutely perfect Rap from clearly people who have sometimes carried a backpack. The only reason for the 4/5 -> backpack is just a flap, even though it could have been a day / escape backpack. OK, a pocket on the bottom for cutlery, etc., which would go in the backpack, but still.

A really convincing imprint from Savota. The product is sturdy and the stitches are familiar Savotta - I dare say that a hiking trip will ever catch on that this breaks down. I haven’t had time to use it in the terrain yet, but the only downside to living room testing is the slightly high weight when empty. So this is not really any gram filer equipment. Even if there are more molle pockets on the sides, there will be more weight. But of course also versatility. I recommend!
Overall rating |
Savota's guaranteed quality. Really sustainable. Easy to customize with extra pockets to suit your needs. Savota's type defect is also here, the hip belt could be longer, but on the other hand, it is easy to sew additional pieces with a quick shoe if there is a bigger waist circumference.

Good and high quality backpack / backpack in all respects. The molle alley around the backpack is really handy. Carried items, Drinking bottles or extra pockets can be conveniently attached anywhere in the backpack. The backpack fits well on the back. There was just enough room for adjustment in the waist belt to make it tight enough. The shoulder straps did not have a height adjustment, but for themselves they were at a suitable height.
