A great ring. There is enough space to pack things inside the bike, but there are enough attachment points on the outside if you need to get some things outside the bike. Rod tubes of fly rods, sleeping mats and the like can easily be attached to the desired position with a strap. You can also choose the side pockets according to your travel needs. The flap of the big pocket should be bigger and preferably the same model as the LJK rinka.

The best bike I've ever owned. Even carrying a heavy load is lighter than you might think. The ring can also be easily retreaded and lifted and there is no need to fear damage. The small net pockets in the bottom pocket help perfectly in organizing small items. Molle kujasto enables really good customization possibilities. The only downside is the weight, but that's the price you have to pay for durability.

Big enough! Thanks to good adjustments, this can always be made into a tight package, and the straps don't hang untidy as it hurts. Adjusting the carrier is a bit slow for the inexperienced. It's hard to imagine a trip where this wouldn't be good, full or not, so it's always good to move. This is just a name sticker and ready to jump anywhere...

It doesn't get any better than this. I've been hiking with the Jääkäri L-ring for several years and I've always overpacked it a bit. Now I spent the summer hiking with my mother-in-law's borrowed Jääkäri XL bike and I noticed how much more comfortable it is with a heavy load. So I ordered mine. When a hike takes more than 3 days, I don't put a smaller crank on my back anymore. The weight is distributed nicely and does not oppress the shoulders. I don't need to say anything about the quality other than that, the ring will certainly continue its journeys for a long time on my son's back, even after I push the horsma myself.

What can you say about a Jäger XL? Top material, top workmanship, simple and robust concept.
I've already dug through some extreme undergrowth with my backpack. Material was involuntarily not spared. Unlike me, it still looks like it did on day one.
The main criticism of the quickly breaking plastic buckle for the shoulder strap has now been corrected by Savotta and replaced with metal. Nevertheless, I always have a set of metal buckles with me for emergencies (you can get them in household supplies or hardware stores for a few cents).
The only points of criticism are the price, the poor loading capacity of the main compartment, no rainproofness in heavy continuous rain - although the main compartment does not have any drainage holes - and the not-so-perfect zips. In terms of rainproofness, I'm talking about hours of continuous rain with very strong gusts of wind. So if you are out and about in such conditions, you have completely different worries than the few droplets inside. Under normal weather conditions, I consider the Savotta products to be rainproof. A rain cover is nonsense in my opinion.
In addition to the criticism, the Savotta Jäger XL is the only backpack on the market that meets my packing size requirements, since in addition to the main compartment (from my point of view well over 100 liters - Savotta clearly understates the official specification here) also on the outside reasonably large enough pouches and can attach their own elastics and straps. With the competition, the molle is too spartan and filigree for me.
The carrying system is no better or worse than that of the competition, which have a frame installed. From 30kg it starts to get uncomfortable on my hips and shoulders. As I said, I have this problem with all backpacks because I am very tall (200cm). The Jäger XL is set to its maximum size - you have to take half an hour to an hour to loosen and retie all the loops; but you only do that once in a lifetime - and that's just about enough. The shoulder straps can therefore no longer be optimally adjusted for people over 205 cm. Savotta only cooks with water here.
The shipping to Germany worked wonderfully, even if Varuste needs well over 1 week for each order from me, even though the products are in stock. That's a bit annoying. In the ordering system there is a different "packer" every day who is said to be packing your order right now. And that then changes daily until after a week it was supposedly sent with a tracking ID. With the tracking ID, it then takes another two days for the shipping company to announce that they have taken delivery of the goods. But well, you don't buy a backpack like that as part of a subscription, but at most once in your life. So just plan some time when ordering from Varuste or spend more money and order directly in Germany for a few euros more.

Great product of great quality.
Top materials and finishes, really high ergonomics, the backpack allows you to carry large loads minimizing effort and distributing the weight in an optimal way.
For those looking for a large capacity backpack this is the right one.
I am satisfied with the purchase.

I'm just one week with the backpack but the quality on savotta is superb. You can feel it's solid and well made. I carried 20 kg on top a d with the frame appear to be less. The only cons: Sad that there is no efficient way to store the raincover inside the backpack like the usually hiking backpack comes with a bottom zip slot for the raincover

A sturdy and versatile bike for all kinds of use, but certainly not to everyone's liking. The carrier feels like forever, although the stuffing of the shoulder straps is a bit spared (which can be felt in the collarbones when wearing one shirt in the summer). The hip belt adjustments are enough for anyone, which is a good feature for this slimming line.
Due to the shape and size of the main pocket, the pack likes to remain top-heavy, but with a little use of the head you can get by with that too. For example, the things of a three-night summer camping trip could fit in the bag without overfilling and additional pockets, which means that with a couple of additional pockets and a loose strap, a week's trip will last all year round.
Plus the modifiability, "boxiness" and bombproof quality. Weaknesses, in my opinion, are the rolltop instead of the traditional snow lock and perhaps the low hardness of the shoulder pads. For a weight-watching hiker, this is also a very heavy pack.
I recommend it to everyone who doesn't mind the appearance and a few extra grams.

I am 193 cm and my weight is 89 kg. The rucksack is very comfortable even with loads well above 25 kg. Huge capacity and endless possibilities to attach pouches if needed. Nice to have long straps to attached bulkier items. The top lid is somewhat awkward, especially when the rucksack is not fully loaded. I struggle with the top lid compartment being accessible only from the inside. I would love to have longer shoulder straps (2-3 cm) and to be able to attach the load lifters higher up (5 cm to get to 30-40° angle). Nonetheless I am very happy with the XL.

I gave up my kajka chest and switched to a jäkäri xl carrier a few years ago. Although I doubted the transition at first, after several trips and hikes it has proven to be a smart decision for me. The Jääkärärinka is really sturdy and with the molle attachments you can mod and tune it to your liking. There were good experiences from the army days with tube racks, so the Jäkäri XL in itself did not come as a surprise except for its more modern look and features. After 3-4 years of adventures, the zippers are still in perfect condition and the fabrics and stitching are also in great condition. As a hiker with mild back problems, the jaeger ring has proven to be really good for me, I can recommend it!

Sturdy pack. Great hiking comfort, plenty of space and super thick fabric. I see why Finnish border patrol uses these. The top can be extended further, plus it is nice that the fabric is already waterproof on its own thus eliminating any worry when it starts to drizzle. The accessibility is also great being able to zipper down the front part. Can’t believe how handy it was.

The best rink I know. Excellent to carry and absorbs stuff comfortably. The weight is more than the basic bike, but remains good even if used carelessly. In addition to carrying, this rucksack is also nice to use in the forest when you can find things easily and you don't need a lanyard. If there is less stuff, the rucksack still functions as a fairly compact package and hides its extra capacity effortlessly. To top it all off, this rich guy looks good to me :)

Very high-quality and reliable ring. The pipe structure and adjustments of the ring are perfect in my case. After a long day, you don't feel like you've carried a heavy load. The rink is also very spacious and you can conveniently add extra space to the outside. Served me for 6 years and I haven't regretted a single day!

I tried a friends Jääkäri XL before ourchasing my own, its great, really great. Very adaptable in size. I usually pack heavy and the Jääkäri XL gives superior carying comfort. The frame makes it stable and distributes the weight great. I also like the "clean" look, not thousands of straps hanging everywhere. The bottom compartment is great for all things that needs "quick access". I love it. Best pack Ive ever had.

I read numerous comparisons for different larger backpacks and also went to a few stores to compare the Savotta Jääkäri L and XL models.
It was clear that this time I would place the backpack so that more pressure on the account would make it easier (i.e. not a budget backpack).
When the backpack arrived I watched a video on Youtube about adjusting the backpack and soon I was in full swing. It takes a bit of time to make that adjustment, but it's REALLY worth doing it only once.
The backpack is qualitatively exactly what is promised, the best you can get with the money. The expansion options immediately became topical and I ordered two L-size side pockets and an M-size front pocket. Attaching these was very easy and effortless.
I did a decent overpack backpack before the test. Even though the backpack accumulated weight, it was really great to notice that the weight can be distributed to the area of your choice.
"If you don't have a decent backpack, this is the way to go!".

Great backpack, I think works better than the older LJK model (no experience with the modular version of the LJK). Plenty of space and MOLLE rows along the surfaces of the backpack allow you to attach extra pockets and shields. Comfortable to carry, although not the lightest backpack in the world but certainly the most durable end.

This pack is built like tank… the construction & thought that has gone into this pack, with the molle system makes this pack outstanding..! It has enough room to take the kitchen sink as well, if you like..! The versatility of the pack & frame increases the options of the pack, to be used as an alternative carrying system, to carry heavier objects to camp like wood or other objects…etc, should the need arise..! So glad I bought it when I did… as the shipping of products around the globe gets more & more precarious with each passing day..! So my advice, is get yours while you can..! In addition, the customer service of Verustte.net is excellent..! 10/10

An exemplary good backpack. I bought this alongside my old backpack. Carrying the same load really feels much more pleasant. I don’t know the exact reason, but the shoulder files fit much better in place and the truck is close to the body. My old backpack is twenty years old, so progress is being made in this area as well. I recommend.

Tried on two hikes and works incredibly well. The size is large enough to fit in and are conveniently available. Adjustments can be made for a big man like me (186cm, 100+ pounds) and the weight on the back is perfectly distributed, which means the weight is felt closest to the legs and not the shoulders. If something should be a crunch, then I haven’t really found a clear purpose for the small compartments in the bottom pocket and also feel that those pockets don’t quite stick. It doesn’t really matter when, with good Molle choices, even smaller stuff gets nicely into different extra pockets. I recommend

He now has two hikes and a rather rational facility on his back. However, this is not noticeable in use and even the 35kg load went quite lightly even before the backpack adjustments were corrected. The Jaeger L was too small, so the XL is a logical step for even slightly longer trips. Good purchase!

Excellent high end product. High quality material, rugged, durable and looks good. Versatile functionality. A little heavy, but that's the cost of durability. Very comfortable to carry for long hikes. Very happy with it!

Here is shopping that cannot be regretted. Absolutely great carrier for even heavier loads. Although the back weight of the backpack is hard, it doesn’t bother because this is so easy to carry. Properly adjusted, the weight is so well distributed that you won’t even notice you’re carrying a backpack.
Rolltop closure and height-adjustable cover is the best thing. You can pack the backpack to the fullest and still at least get all the goods inside to protect it from the weather. In this backpack, I wouldn’t change anything.

heavy duty load carry system that sits nice on hip and shoulders, shrinks down to "normal" size backpack with compression straps. (looks like ordinary backpack, not like the LJK or tht TST RP80, these kind of like look "bigish")

Very good backpack. Comfortable to carry. On the first trip, the starting weight of the backpack was about 20kg and at least it went well and the weight was evenly distributed on the hips and shoulders. For the arched bag of the tent, the adjustable intermediate bulkhead separating the inner compartments should have a 5cm hole at the edge, even with a pull rod. Now the only hole is left in the middle and it makes it really awkward to pack other stuff in the top pocket. Admittedly, Hilleberg's arched bag fit upright on the edge as well, but it protrudes a little long from there and clearly rose above me with the other stuff. Of course, the roll lock was still able to be closed because there is a lot of overpacking space reserved for it. Side pockets size L in my backpack. There was an ax and walking sticks set between them and the backpack's head.

Perhaps one of the best backpacks in Savota. In a heavy load, the stitches did not "ring" like other backpacks want to be. The carrying system is clearly one of the best and the adjustments are perfect for even a large carrier. This carrying system combined with a traditional LJK backpack could be a really tough combination.

Very good build quality bag and functional. I used the bag a couple of time and it is confortable to me. I strongly recommend it.

Durable, modular and very practical designed / made. The stitches are top notch, the backpack has excellent adjustments and the finish is professional anyway. Maybe an expensive backpack, but a lifetime and if you go to the woods a lot, this backpack is even more expensive than gold.

A realy strong en quality made bag. Good and fast service.
I have used in the Modular-LJK of satisfaction. I use hiking. Now Savota's advertising speech is of interest, according to which Jääkäririnkka is an "improved" version of the predecessor. Three points remain of interest from this perspective. That bag depth has dropped from 30 cm to 23 sounds like a possible "improvement" at least the appearance point of view, but on the other hand I have many times the packaged goods were delighted when LJK's bag has increased the depth, and therefore also carelessly started packing has worked happily and quickly . What about those straps around the whole bag / backpack? They don't exist in LJK, and I don't understand them as an "improvement", but they remind me of old-fashioned camping bags from the 1980s. The third "improvement" is, in my view, a clear deterioration. I mean a detachable top flap that brings to mind many funny tower-like buggy backpacks like Ospreys. When there is a lot to do with the backpack (it is not only carried but also unpacked and packed), any loose parts and flaps usually do not delight but rather cap and slow down the hiking. I would be happy if those who used both backpacks commented on the previous topics. Sure enough, nothing to complain about I-LJK Modular to not invent, but I have been thoroughly satisfied. Therefore, it would be interesting to hear a little more clarification about those "improvements."
