They seem to work well in wet conditions, because they get on top of your feet and you can even cross ditches thanks to the elasticity. In the sled race, it was noticed that there is far too much grip and the slide is therefore really unfortunate. So, filing work is known. After all, it hasn't been such a big problem in closed conditions and the ascents have been effortless. Easier, of course, this way, that you can afford to file the scale off to improve the glide.

During Easter, I went skiing for a couple of days in the spring forest of Kainuu. Skis mostly work well. The only problem was where the spring sun had melted a slush about an inch thick on the surface of the frozen snow. In this case, the track went along and skiing turned into a heavy walk.
Next winter, we'll take a closer look at how it works with soft snow.

Ok skis, but Järvinen's similar ones have a better scale base that holds better.
I ordered two Peltonen Metsä Step skis (210,230).
There was no delivery of longer skis, despite Varuste.net's promises, so if a situation arises during the delivery of your order that the product will be delivered within 3-30 days, I recommend buying the product elsewhere at the same time, so you may receive your product on time.

The base starts to wear out surprisingly quickly (soft plastic) and the downside is that you can't really lubricate it. Otherwise, a light, sturdy and easy-to-ski ski with a good hard plastic "edge", which gives you extra grip when plowing, for example. Suomu also works well, you can climb gentle hills just by skiing.

Been driving for one winter. It's good to ski in the open in a field or on lake ice. I've put a little quick skid on the scale area to improve the glide, because with a 90 kg weight on 210 cm skis, the scale area is maybe a bit too long or the ski is loose.
They are not very agile in challenging forest terrain in a thick forest, and the lack of steel sides can be challenging on a hard hilly forest.

They do have an excellent effect on the skis, even when crossing ditches, I haven't had to stay and fumble across them, but just ski straight over them, and they don't dive into the snow, but rise well to the surface. They felt quite heavy, so that's a small minus, although I don't think the weight hinders skiing. I ordered 270 long and I am satisfied that there is length in the skis.

I bought the 2.8-meter ones, they carry well enough when closed (I weigh approx. 65 kg). Moderate grip. My friend had field boots in the 1990s, the soles of which made a nasty "spray" noise when skiing, but this new model is fairly quiet. I am satisfied with the skis, although I only have experience from one winter, albeit almost 1000 kilometers.

The 250cm long versions carry just over 82kg of snow if the snow is a little hardened. With soft snow, no other tool can carry it, but probably no other tool can. Forest skis are much easier to move than snowshoes because the movement of the feet is forward and not upwards like with snowshoes.

Good basic skis. It glides well downhill and you can reach gentle uphills on the scales, on a steeper hill it would require more grip (hair, grip tape, etc.) or go sideways which can be challenging in the forest on long skis (finding a climbing point over 2m wide). Value for money ok.

I use Peltonen Metsä Step (Finnish bottom) skis for ice skiing where they are perfect. The ski is load-bearing and I just never lubricated it. These are already other skis of the same brand in this use. The first ones were left in the open when I fell on the ice in April 2018.
