So far, the device has been involved in one six-day hike in the direction of Käsivarre. Easy to use and there were no stomach problems, so I can assume that the device worked. I used the device myself by taking a liter of water from the stream in a plastic bottle, then I put Steripen in the mouth of the bottle and swirled it around. Then I fooled it for 90 seconds. And done. The guys who played with filters clearly took more time.
Works well in the clear streams of Lapland. If the water was soft, then the filters would definitely be in place.
The battery was just enough for that trip. Not all household water was made there during the trip, but some was boiled in the tubs.

Easy to drink. What came as a surprise was that the device does not work in the cold. During the wilderness trip in October, the device did not emit UV light, so it did not work below +5 degrees. So that's a minus. It didn't bother me in itself, but this should be taken into account if you go near suspicious waters.

I have used this product numerous times on multiday hikes. Very easy and convenient to use and feel totally safe using with natural water sources.

Well designed, decent instructions, just what I need. However, it's not for cloudy water.

Well, we’re in India and have been using this for the last few weeks, just drinking water from anywhere and it’s been great, we haven’t been ill so I guess it’s probably working?! The battery is good, haven’t really had to charge it yet, and it arrived quickly to the Uk. Thankyou!
