I have had a classic Ortlieb system with steel cable, another from ClickFix also with steel cable, and now, for my new Ortlieb Pack-Plus 11 liter handlebar bag, I have bought this system that works with solid ropes. Very happy! Very robust, fits well on my butterfly handlebars (travel), assembles and disassembles easily and quickly. No more having to use a wrench to assemble it and having to replace the metal cable that ends up weakening after one or two assembly, in the old system. If you don't need to change that's fine. But, if like me, you make intensive use of your travel equipment and are looking for something solid and easy to assemble and disassemble whenever you want, I recommend it. The anchoring is very effective and solid.
