The Talon 44 was designed with ultralight multi-day adventures and travellers in mind. An injection-moulded AirScape™ backpanel and a continuous-wrap harness and hipbelt allow the pack to move with you when navigating demanding terrain. This streamlined pack features a top-loading main compartment, hydration reservoir sleeve, dual zippered hip pockets, and attachment points for ice axes and trekking poles. A large open and flexible pocket makes it easy to slip in, for example, break or rain gear. A small hole in the front of the pocket helps moisture to escape. Constructed with high-quality bluesign®-approved recycled high-tenacity nylon with a PFC-free DWR coating.
An injection-moulded, die-cut foam AirScape™ backpanel creates a breathable, close-to-body fit. A flexible BioStretch harness and hipbelt, with a continuous lumbar-to-hipbelt wrap, allow for dynamic movement. A lightweight pack series designed with optimal stability for dynamic movement even on the most technical terrain.
From top-loaders to lumbar packs and everything in between, the Talon/Tempest Series accommodates the needs of hikers, bikers and more. Talon 44 has been constructed with high-quality bluesign®-approved recycled high-tenacity nylon.

I've been using the older model for a year now and I bought the newer model as a birthday present. Some improvements have clearly been made in the new model, but I can't say yet how much they will improve the user experience with longer use. The colors are a bit boring in the new ones, but I still recommend Osprey's backpacks, especially the relative. for new outdoor enthusiasts. The only clear minus comes from the pouch pockets on the waist, whose wetsuit cannot be pulled open easily without two hands. These pockets should be the easiest to access when walking, and you shouldn't have to fiddle with them. The older model also has this problem.

My favourite bag !!!

This backpack met almost all of the pre-requirements I set for the product: suitable size, use of a water bladder, possibility to attach poles, breathable back part.
I had to compromise on the demand for a removable hip strap (very necessary in a backpack of this size) and the product does not offer a separate rain cover. I can bargain on these, as the product is otherwise very versatile.
