Les Batons


In 2018, Les Bâtons was born when the founder Axel Lehmkuhl facing a broken pair of aluminum poles, initially considered switching to carbon ones but found them uncomfortable due to their wobbly nature. This led Axel on a journey to create a pair of poles that were not only durable, convenient, sustainable, and above all, fun to use. He drew inspiration from various materials and design concepts he had collected over the years.

After two years of dedicated development and numerous prototypes, bamboo poles where created, with their impressive mechanical properties, light weight, and pleasant touch. However, refining the grips and tips presented its own set of challenges. During testing, interest in these poles started to grow among skiers and hikers.
