Product description

The journey is your reward. Having once graced the cover of the legendary Time Magazine, Aether AG now takes a big step forward to make your journey even more rewarding.

Aether AG is designed for multi-day backpacking and carrying significant loads. The backsystem combines the comfort and ventilation of Osprey's multi-award-winning AG AntiGravity™ backsystem with the custom-mouldable fit of Osprey's next generation IsoForm™ hipbelt. A sprung mesh lumbar area, combined with stiff load bars integrated into the harness allows for impressive load transfer through the large muscle groups in the legs, enabling an even and comfortable backpacking experience.

Organisation and accessibility are key during long adventures. These packs stand out with multiple access points including the J-Zip front panel access into the body of the pack, as well as sleeping back compartment with wide zip entry an internal divider. The lid not only has multiple pockets but is also removable, offering great versatility. The top of the pack remains protected without the lid thanks to the deployable FlapJacket™ top cover.

An integrated rain cover, Stow-on-the-Go™ trekking pole attachment, InsideOut™ compression straps and multiple attachment points allow you to carry your gear any way you like. Aether AG 85's high capacity allows for extra gear to be carried with ease on long or cold backpacking adventures.

Sits on your back nicely. Enough pockets, and anchor points. I connected the backpack to the daylite backpack, the package worked well. The backpack can be packed in a tight package, which makes it easier to carry and handles well in bushes and other awkward places. The carrying mechanism is well designed and the backpack does not put too much strain on the shoulders.

Based on one use, it looks really versatile and is also suitable if you have a front backpack on your own! The length of the hip belt is also great with winter cranks. There are adjustment options so you would think that there is a suitable setup for everyone. The only downside was that the back was still sweating despite the marketing speeches, but maybe not in exactly the same way as the old backpack?

Good buy. I had two options, the Deuter 70 + 15 and this one. In the store I tried both with a load of 17 kg and Osprey sat on my back better. Now is 17-20 kg load over a couple of nights back of the trip and I am particularly pleased with the comfort of a backpack on the back. With this limited user experience, I find no cons. A special plus for the Buy it for Life idea and service.

There seemed to be room and a little too much stuff was packed for the hike. The backpack was heavy but the portability didn’t suffer at all. There are plenty of pockets but not ridiculously many. Everything thought over the last one. The only complaint comes from zipper pulls. Of course still a new and rough backpack but sometimes it feels like the zipper doesn't slip well because of the pull. Pros: + Sustainable + Divine belt + Number and placement of pockets Cons: zipper pullers

Very good fit. A plus for a convenient daypack. Lightweight

Good adjustments. The lumbar belt is heavily shaped so it may not fit everyone. The front panel only opens from one edge, so taking items from the main sections of the backpack is not as easy as if the front panel opened from both sides. Compression straps are really good if the backpack is not full or the loads need to be kept in a really tight package.

I haven't visited the pharmacy yet but I feel really competent and supportive on my back.

The backpack proved to be a great place to carry and use during the Bear Tour (82km). The backpack has an excellent carrying system so the backpack made me sit well on my own back. Based on my own experience, I dare to recommend the product. I get a backpack with a view to mountaineering, but hiking also works well.

Probably perfect. There is no user experience yet, so I won't comment any further.

How to choose a backpack

A good backpack fits well at the user’s back and its features meet the purpose planned for it. There are many kinds of backpacks with different adjustment features, and that is great: every user is different, and they make many kinds of trips in their free time. Anatomical ...
