Product description
The tent to use anytime overall strength and stability are the most significant priorities. It is ideal for exacting base camp use, especially in high mountains, exposed or above tree line terrain, and arctic environments. It is also an excellent option for particularly demanding mobile journeys in exposed and/or relentlessly harsh conditions. At the same time, the Saitaris is appropriate anytime roomy comfort is important.

The Saitaris’ Kerlon 1800 outer tent fabric, 10 mm poles and dome construction unquestionably make it the exceptionally rugged tent it is, capable of handling both heavy wind and snow loads. But the Saitaris’ design is what truly sets it apart. Its innovative pole system puts two lengthwise poles, in full pole sleeves, across the tent’s peak, and two side poles in three-quarter length pole sleeves that lay across both lengthwise poles. The lower portion of the side poles are fastened by clips, and all four poles are secured by the same adjustable pole tensioners found in our tunnel tents, imparting the proper pole tension for optimal structural strength. This system makes for an extremely robust, extraordinarily roomy dome tent that can be set up without difficulty by one person, even in bad weather. In addition, it features the same standard and extended vestibule design from our Keron GT tunnel tent, which provides both extraordinary vestibule space and adds, via the hooded vestibule vents, lengthwise ventilation that complements that from the two roof vents. Lastly, special attachment points on the vent cover, guy lines on both vent cover and vent hoods, as well as numerous tent guy lines – many of whose attachment points are built to wrap around pole crossing points – all enhance the Saitaris’ ability to handle the most demanding conditions.

  • Kerlon 1800 outer tent fabric and 10 mm poles with multiple crossing points make for an exceptionally stable tent with outstanding snow-load handling capability.
  • Multiple guy lines on the tent, the vestibule vent hoods and the vent cover afford even greater stability. Many of the guy line attachment loops on the tent are designed to be wrapped around poles or pole crossing points for maximum support.
  • The Saitaris has plenty of room for four occupants and their gear.
  • Dual entrances ensure that one door can always be situated out of the wind and provide fl exible entry/exit options.
  • One standard and one extended vestibule afford tremendous convenience, flexibility and comfort.
  • The Saitaris’ ventilation system functions regardless of the weather conditions, thanks to its integrated components:
  • Highly breathable yet water repellent inner tent fabric.
  • Inner tent doors have a full no-see-um mesh panel covered with an equal sized, zipper-adjustable fabric panel for greater venting and weather-protection options.
  • Large vents in each vestibule, placed high enough to keep air moving even if the tent is dug down into deep snow.
  • Vestibule vents backed with no-see-um mesh and adjustable, air-permeable snow-proof panels that are accessible from inside the vestibules.
  • Roof vents in the inner and the outer tents that are accessible from inside the tent.
  • The inner tent roof vents can be opened or closed completely, and have no-see-um mesh backed by zipper-adjustable fabric panels.
  • A separate vent cover ensures that the weather stays on the outside, even if the vents are fully open.

8 and 10 year old girls learning to pile up after 2-3 workouts. 2 children and two adults well accommodate inside to sleep and absidi spacious. In the sheltered place only 2 end wedges in use and otherwise stood upright on the arch sticks. Packing easy. While waiting for FootPrint, I bought a 2x3m permanent blanket that ran well for its price (4.9e vs 200e). Even in Absid, it would be possible to sleep for 2 hours, but apparently mosquitoes can get from the ceiling ventilation ducts to the Absid side to the extent that the inner tent called. The air conditioning made it work well in the summer with numerous aperture controls.
